Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has cast his vote in the state’s ongoing local government elections. He voted at about 7:56 a.m. at Unit 9, Sagba Abogunde Ward 2, Ede North Local Government Area [[3]]. The governor arrived with his supporters and members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), creating a lively atmosphere at the polling unit.
Despite calls for suspension by the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and warnings from the police regarding the constitutionality and security concerns surrounding the elections, the exercise commenced in some local governments as early as 8 a.m., including Ede North Local Government Area.
Governor Adeleke expressed confidence in the electoral process, describing it as peaceful. He advised residents to cast their votes without fear of intimidation and urged political stakeholders and the electorate to avoid actions that could disrupt the peace during the election.
