JUST IN: Finland opens application portal for Nigerians and other foreign workers to earn a minimum wage of N2.2 million.


The Finnish Immigration Service has opened applications for the 2025 Seasonal Work Permit, offering opportunities for foreign workers, including Nigerians, in sectors such as agriculture, forestry, and tourism. These permits allow employment in Finland for up to nine months within a 12-month period. 

Key Details:

Minimum Wage: Seasonal workers are entitled to a minimum monthly salary of €1,430 (approximately N2.2 million), unless otherwise specified by a collective agreement. 

Application Process:

1. Job Offer: Secure a signed employment contract from a Finnish employer.

2. Documentation: Prepare necessary documents, including a valid passport, employment contract, and proof of accommodation.

3. Submission: Complete and submit your application through the official channels, ensuring all information is accurate to avoid delays. 

4. Accommodation: Applicants must arrange housing that complies with Finnish health and safety standards.
